Will insurance cover the cost of Lunella?
Lunella is covered by some insurance plans. Because the coverage of each policy can be different, you will need to check with your insurance company to understand your coverage.
Of course, the real question most of us want answered is, “How much will I have to pay for a sleep test?”
If your insurance plan only covers a lab setting, be sure to ask if you will be reimbursed for the full cost of the sleep test. With some plans, although the lab sleep test is “covered,” the reimbursement begins after you first meet the plan deductible.
A sleep test in at a lab could cost about $2000. If your policy has a $2000 deductible for this procedure, then your out of pocket – what you actually have to pay -- could be as high as $2000.

Remember, the only way to know if you have sleep apnea is by taking a doctor-prescribed sleep test. Don’t delay -- if left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious health problems. Take our free online assessment to see if you are at high risk.
